血結是投釣時絕對不可欠缺的繩結。隨著釣竿性能的提升與釣魚線的材質日益精進，能夠一揮魚竿就投出100公尺以上的距離已經變得非常平常。因此，繩結的強度也自然地愈發重要。

血結是母線與力線相連時最常用到的繩結。最大的特徵是把兩條線纏繞4~5次後再反折回去，讓它變成好像被繩圈夾在中間的狀態就大功告成了。多餘的線會和母線形成直角，所以很難解開。雖然會感覺釣線不是很容易通過導線環，不過實際上使用起來並不會不方便。

雖然這個繩結不適合連結兩條材質組細相差太多的繩子，但基本上說這個繩結有如銅牆鐵壁般牢固也不為過。如果對強度還是感到不安的話，可以用加熱過的金屬棒等在繩結的尾部壓一下，就可以讓它成為完美無缺的血結了。

順便一提這個繩結又名「美國結」，這也是從外國傳至日本的繩結之一。


The blood knot is an indispensable knot for casting. With improvements in fishing rod performance and the increasing sophistication of fishing line materials, casting distances exceeding 100 meters with a single swing has become commonplace. Therefore, the strength of the knot has naturally become increasingly important.

The blood knot is the most commonly used knot when connecting the main line and the lead line. Its main characteristic is that the two lines are wrapped 4-5 times and then folded back, creating a loop that appears to be sandwiched between them. The excess line forms a right angle with the main line, making it difficult to untie. While it may seem that the line doesn't easily pass through the guide, it's actually not inconvenient in practice.

Although this knot is not suitable for connecting two ropes of vastly different thicknesses, it's practically as strong as a fortress. If you're still concerned about its strength, you can press down on the end of the knot with a heated metal rod to make it a perfect blood knot.

Incidentally, this knot is also known as the "American knot," and it is one of the knots that was introduced to Japan from abroad.
